This was up AF Canyon, just above Tibble Fork Reservoir. We left late Friday, got camp set up just before dark, had dinner then Brother Black told some stories (incorporating the use of his 22 pistol).

 It snowed overnight and the boys explored/hiked in the morning. I think everyone had a good time. 





Update Late

That's right, I broke my arm. This is at least, partially, my excuse for not updating in almost a year.

This is what it looked like one week after surgery.

It has been six months now since my crash. I'm back to about 95% on my arm, it just makes weird popping and grinding noises now and then. I think my bike fitness is better now than before the accident.

 This is where I broke my frame.

After a fifty dollar weld job.

I would have preferred to have the frame replaced. This is actually a replacement frame of the original Mongoose Canaan Elite I had. It broke at the seat post and top tube junction.When I showed it to the Mike  at the bike shop he said Mongoose is out of business in the U.S. so no warranty. Bummer. He did say I could get a "crash replacement" from GT. That's nice and all but I don't have 2500$ at the moment. 

 On the bright side, I've been on several rides now and it seems to be holding up well. 

Steve Olsen and Kerry Smith 51 Group Ride

This is the last time we will ride 51 loop until it warms up. The North facing slope of Dry Canyon was Dangerously Icy on this ride.
 This is very unusual though. In 2010 my last ride of the season on this trail was sometime in late November. This was on December 31st.

Froze my but off getting back to the car, probably early stage hypo, it took me two hours to get my core temp back up.

This is actually from today above bst in Pleasant Grove. I thought it would be a pretty lame picture when I took it but I like seeing the pictures of where I've been, now that I see it close up I like it.

Wow time flies

March of 2011 was my last post. I just got lazy.

new post in a while

I haven't posted in a while. I rode outside in St. George a few weeks ago but was lazy and didn't take any pictures. I'm getting more motivated with gradually warming weather.
